“Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone”
It’s been a busy few weeks in our household! There was our eldest’s primary school graduation, and end of Year 1 for M, a trip to North Devon and the glorious seaside, and, not to forget, my husband’s beloved football club winning the Premier League…
My eldest leaving primary school was bittersweet and I’m not going to lie, it was tough. Things were different and they’ve missed out on so much.
It still makes me cry just thinking about it.
But as the wonderful human being he is, he’s looking to the future and we’re all excited to see what his new adventures at secondary school will bring.
Our north Devon trip was amazing. I’ll have to do a separate post just to cover some of the stuff, but suffice to say, we loved it and we’ll be back next year.
And on to Liverpool and finally, after 30 years winning the Premier League. The kids and I decided to surprise Brooks so we transformed our house into “Anfield”. We had red banners and balloons everywhere. J set up an Anfield snack bar, we sold tickets to the game and obviously we did some baking too.
We made these cute chocolate cupcakes which are a cinch to make with a simple yet tasty vanilla bean buttercream icing.
